The Key to Success in Life

Dishita Joshi

Determination and hard work are the pillars of success. The successful people that we see today have one thing in common- they work hard and with full determination. The constant vigilance and preparedness to work is the price we have to pay for success in life. The work is worship. The person of action acts in the living present. There is no tomorrow for him/her.

Determination is the positive emotional feeling that involves perseverance of a difficult goal in spite of  any obstacles that may come in the way while hard work is when you work diligently to complete your tasks by putting great efforts. Both of these hold the central stage in determining the overall success or failure of a person's effort.

To achieve a goal a person must be determined and for that he/she must be truly passionate about what he/she wants to achieve and simply work hard towards it.One can't be great without hardwork. The secret to any achievement in life is hard work. Achievements without hard work are impossible .An idle person can never gain anything if he/she sits and waits for a better opportunity to come.

Another very important factor that comes into play is that one must not stray away from his/her goal once they get positive outcomes. One must not merely get happy from short term successes and keep working hard. There will surely be ups and downs but one mustn’t lose hope in case of any failure and keep trying until you achieve what you had aimed at.Do not lose hope if it takes time, just keep working hard and you will achieve it one day. It is like making a building, it has to be done brick by brick. It is not a one-day job but we just have to keep working on it and we do definitely get the result one day. When things do not go as we want them to, you just have to keep trying and trying.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi himself used to sell tea in his childhood but with pure hard work and determination, he holds the most powerful position in the Indian government. Another such great example is America's famous president Abraham Lincoln who was born in a log cabin in the forest. He could not afford a lamp and read borrowed books with the light of the fire in the hearth. And yet by dint of hard work, he rose to be the greatest man of his time.
