The Two Sons

Natchya Tiwari

Once upon a time, there was a billionaire. He had two sons. His elder son was good mannered, clever, strong, and handsome.  His younger son was also strong, handsome, but was egoist and manner less.

One day, the father decided to give both of them a test to find which one of them was worthy for his property. He asked both of his sons to go and earn love and respect in two weeks.

Elder son made up his mind to do nothing extra for earning love and respect. He went on his duty like every single day.  He went and gave food to the poor and needy. He helped people and worked all the day like every day.

Younger son went to find love and respect by showing how rich he was to the girls and gave money to others and told them to respect him.

Two weeks passed. The father called both the sons.

The elder son came with nothing. The younger son came in with a girl whom he had decided to marry.

The father asked the elder son, “Where is your love?”

He said, "I already had love and respect from the people in our city. My people are my love and their affection for us is respect for me."

The father decided to give his property to his elder son.

Moral of the story

One shouldn't have ego even how rich or smart he is!
