A Better Gift

Once upon a time, there was a young man. He asked his father for a car as a gift for his high school graduation. Though his father could afford a car but still he gifted him a watch.

The young man said to his father, ''I didn't ask for this!''

"It is a better gift my son. You don't need a car. What you need at this time is to learn to manage all well", said the father.

The father felt terrible for having his son so high hopes and from then on he had a ranging in his heart and wouldn't want to be in the same room as his father.

Without his father providing for him, he learnt to work. He worked hard until he realized that his father was right.

It was true. He didn't need a car back then.

After this realization, he tried locating and calling his father. He wanted to make amends, admit his fault and express gratitude for the valuable lesson.

The unfortunate part was that he was too late. He got a word that his father had passed away few weeks ago.

He learnt from his experience that his father had the best interest at heart for him. Though his father didn't show it, he turned his back and wanted him to succeed in the long run of his life.
