Magical Bird

Once upon a time, there was a bird. It was very beautiful. Its voice was very sweet. The bird lived on a unique tree in the Jungle. The leaves of that tree were very colourful. People used to say that when the bird sat on the tree, it got magical powers from the leaves of that tree and sang so sweet. Slowly, the tree became famous as a Dream Tree.

One day, the bird was singing. Its sweet voice was spreading across the Jungle. Hearing this voice, a wood-cutter came there and started cutting that Dream Tree.

Suddenly, a hunter also reached there and captured the magical bird. He took the bird to the King.

Seeing the beautiful bird, the King said, “Wow! It is a very beautiful bird. Tell me hunter, what do you want for this bird from me?”

The hunter told, “Sorry your majesty! I cannot give this bird to you.”

“What! But why?” asked the King surprisingly.

The hunter replied, “Your majesty, before I came to you, I took this bird to my friend who is a veterinary doctor. He told me that this bird is a unique species. It is a rare bird. This is the only bird that has magical powers. He also told that its power comes from the leaves of the tree upon which it lives. I thought that before I leave it in the Jungle, I should show it to you, sir.”

The bird spoke to the King, “Your majesty, how can I live in the Jungle? The tree on which I lived was being cut by a wood-cutter.”

The king asked his soldiers, “Go immediately to the Jungle and stop the wood-cutter from cutting the Dream Tree. It is very precious for the bird.”

The soldiers went with the hunter in the Jungle and stopped the wood-cutter from cutting the tree.

The tree was saved and thus the bird again got its home tree, the Dream Tree to live in. It started singing sweet songs. It thanked the hunter, doctor, soldiers and the King to save its home.

The king called the hunter and gave him a lot of money to save the special bird and the Dream Tree.
