Steps to prepare water lamp:

1.Take a cup and fill 3/4 th of water and 1/4 with oil.

2.cut a polythene cover in the shape of cup.

3.Now,make a wall hole in the middle of Polythene cover and insert

4. Now light the lamp

5. After sometime it will become as semi-Sold (that is the reason why  the oil gains a shape

1.       It will Glow more time compared to normal lamps

2.       Maximum possible utilization of oil in illumination
