Saraswati Puja is a famous festival of Hindus. This festival is celebrated every year on the occasion of Basant Panchami. This worship is celebrated with great glee in India. According to Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated every year on the fifth day (Panchami) of Magh month.

Saraswati Puja is one of the greatest festivals of Hindus. It is mainly the festival of students. Saraswati is the goddess of learning and music. Saraswati Puja is organized in honour of goddess Saraswati. Saraswati is also called Vidyadayini or Hansvahini.

Saraswati  Puja is organized with full dignity by students in every school and learning centre. The statue of goddess Saraswati is set in Saraswati Puja. On this day, we wear yellow clothes. Everyone enjoys this festival with great fun and enthusiasm.

The students pray goddess Saraswati with folded hands reciting the following prayer:

या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता
या वीणावरदण्डमण्डितकरा या श्वेतपद्मासना
या ब्रह्माच्युतशंकरप्रभृतिभिर्देवै: सदा वन्दिता
सा मां पातु सरस्वती भगवती नि:शेषजाड्यापहा
