Red Cross is a humanitarian organization. It is situated in Geneva, Switzerland. It is the oldest and the most honoured organization of the world. Its good work has won three times Nobel Peace Prize in 1917, 1944 and 1963.

Red Cross works for those who are wounded in the battlefields. It was formed in 1863. It is an International NGO. Its founder members were Henry Dunant, Guillaume Henri Dufour, Louis Appia, Gustave Moynier, and Théodore Maunoir.

8^th May is celebrated as International Red Cross Day world-wide. On 8^th May 1828, its main founder Dunant was born. Hence Red Cross Day is celebrated on this day every year.

Red Cross people provide Food, Medicines, and various types of help to save lives in natural calamities, Epidemics and war-fields.
